How long does it take to learn an instrument?

There is no definite answer of how long it takes to learn or master an instrument. This varies from student to student and really depends on the individual, how much time and effort they are putting into their practice hours. Playing an instrument is a physical skill that requires repetition to improve, and we understand sometimes it is hard to spare time to practice, especially if you are a working adult or parent. We encourage students to make small goals and we want to celebrate every little progress you make!

Can I still help my child practice even without any musical background or ability?

Yes definitely! If you personally do not have any musical background or experience playing an instrument, our teachers can help you with some practical suggestions on how to help your child practice. You will be more than surprised how well of a coach you are to your child! Besides, you get to learn and practice along with them too!

Can I only commit to one month of lessons?

Learning an instrument is not only a physical skill that requires repetition, and based on our experiences working with various students, one month might not be enough time to give your lessons a fair chance to witness the ultimate or optimal outcome of your personal musical goals. However, the academy offers a month-to-month contract to every student enrolled, without any obligations to long term commitment. To discontinue lessons, we just require a one month notice.
